What is Storcx for?

Storcx allows you to collect money for any occasion from a group of people for a shared purpose, or gift. The money goes straight into the organisers bank account for the host to spend.

Simply put, Storcx allows you to collect funds from your friends for any present or event in a personalised, safe and fun way!

No more panic buying, no more waste; restores the spirit of gift-giving and brings back the joy of sharing.  It is a beautiful way of giving the perfect present every time.

We call it giftraising.

What is Giftraising?

Giftraising is a term the founders of Storcx coined to explain the idea of group gifting!

How does it work?

It’s simple and easier than shopping and chasing people for money….

All you have to do is create your account, a giftraising page with your event name; the suggested amount, and a message to all your recipients.

And viola! Your event has been created and your guests have the opportunity to contribute to one gift goal; write a personal message and make someone’s day!  It is a beautiful way of giving the perfect present every time.

Once you’ve uploaded the necessary AML documents (passport or drivers license) These generous funds go straight into your bank account.  Please note your bank account must be UK or EU registered to retrieve the funds. The beauty of Storcx is it allows you to spend directly on your gift or event with flexibility of choice and price search; or you can give the funds directly to the lucky receiver!

You can send an automated thank you to each of your contributors, removing the time & labor intensive process of Thank You cards.

Tracking each event is simple via your tracking page, see who has received, opened and made/declined a contribution.  You can even send reminders! Forget awkward conversations; we do that for you 😉


What are the most used Giftraising events?

Giftraising can be used for anything from birthday gifts, teacher gifts, , baby-showers, weddings, stags, hens, Christenings, Bahmitzvahs, Diwali, Eid, even if you want to help someone in need you can! You can always look at the Storcx home page to get inspiration.  The list is endless and you will always give the perfect present.

Manage my event

How do I set up a new Giftraising Event?

Just click on start your giftraising, any icon or create my giftraise and follow the prompts. It takes seconds!

How do I edit a Giftraising event?

Don’t panic! If you’ve made a mistake on your giftraising page all you need to do is login, click on your event and make the  necessary changes.

How do I Add/Delete participants?

Have you forgotten to include someone important? Or added someone by accident? Not to worry, you can add new participants at any time by logging into your account, clicking on your event, and add or remove a recipient.

How do I say thank you to all my generous contributors?

When creating  your event you have the option to create an automated thank you that will be sent  to your guests once they have made a contribution.  This takes away any post event stress and frees up your very valuable time!

How do I delete a Giftraisisng event?

Simply go into the MY GIFTRAISING tab and in drafts you san select which event to delete, open it and there is an option at the bottom to delete that event.

How do I edit my profile?

All you have to do is click into the MY PROFILE tab, make any changes and click save!

What are the minimum and maximum amounts for my Giftraising Event?

Good news!  There is no minimum or maximum amount for your event – you can create an event of any monetary size; nothing is too big or too small, it is the thought that counts!

Is it necessary to have an account?

Yes, but its quick and super easy.  Simply create a Storcx account via the website;follow the instructions to register and set up your, user details & profile and viola you are ready to go!  Remember in order to withdraw your funds you will need to upload some ID, usually your passport or drivers license – this is to ensure your funds go to you and no-one else!

Do I get updates?

YES!  If you enjoy receiving good news throughout the day; whilst creating your event you can select  the option to receive an email update every time you get a contribution.  However, just as easily if you prefer a little bit of peace and quiet you can turn this option off so you wont be disturbed but can check your event page when the time suits you.

Can I send reminders?

YES!  We all know how busy everyone is; and how easy it is to let things slip through the net; so as a helping hand when creating your gift page you can simply select a date to send an auto reminder to your guests. Forget akward conversations we do that for you 😉

Who can see my Giftraising Event?

Your page is top secret and completely private!  Only the recipients you have sent the request to can view the page.

Who can see the contributions?

Contributions made to a giftraising page can only be seen by the event organiser, its not the amount you give it’s the thought that counts!

How do I Invite participants?

There is an add invitees tab at the end of your create giftraise page, click on this, and add the necessary email addresses and push send.  You can schedule when to send from here.

How do I track my event?

You can track your event by going into the MY GIFTRAISING icon and click ‘view contributions’ from here you can select the event and see who has made a payment, and what your total is.

How do I see who has contributed?

You can see who has contributed by going into the MY GIFTRAISING icon and click ‘view contributions’ from here you can select the event and see who has made a payment, and what your total is.

How much time do I have to spend it?

It’s your giftraising event – you can choose when to spend the money – its in your account!

Is the suggested amount mandatory?

It’s up to you.. When creating your event you can choose a fixed amount if you wish (eg, if it’s a contribution to a stag party or for a villa share) or you can leave it up to your contributors to spend as little or as much as they can – it’s all about the sharing and thought after all!

Do I need to wait for all the contributions before I can spend the money?

The beauty of Storcx is that its your money pot! You can withdraw the funds whenever you like.

How long until the money is in my account?

The funds will take 24-48 hours to reach your UK or EU registered bank account

How do I edit a draft?

Simply go into the MY GIFTRAISING tab, select the event you wish to edit, click ‘edit’ and make any changes, remembering to save them at the end!

Contributing to a Giftraising event

How do I contribute to an event?

Once you receive a contribution request,  you simply follow the steps to register and make your payment.

How can I pay?

You can contribute to someone’s giftraising event  by all major debit and credit cards, apart from AMEX.

Please note according to anti-money laundering rules, MANGOPAY has a specific list of countries where it is authorized to process payments. The following list are the countries where we authorize payments. If your card is not registered to one of these countries payment will not be accepted.

What currencies can I use?

Currently you can pay in £’s or Euros. We are working on expanding the Storcx story and brand so watch this space for new currencies & locations!

How do I know my payment has gone through?

You will receive an email notification to your registered email address notifying you of your success of payment.

Do I have to set up an account?

In order to make or recieve a payment, for security purposes you do need to set up an account with Storcx.  By default you are creating your payment account with Mangopay who takes care of all the security side.

Can I send a personal message with my contribution?

Good news! Yes you can!  With any payment contribution made you have the opportunity to write a personal message to the recipient!

Costs & Fees

How much is it to set up a giftraising page/event?

Absolutely nothing!  There is no fee to set up a giftraising page/event.

How much does it cost?

STORCX has to take a small processing fee of 2.5% +20p on card payments in, purely to cover our charges with the payment providers and is inc VAT. This fee is purely to cover our own costs, and it is still cheaper than the cost of wrapping paper and a card, not to mention friendlier to the environment!

There is a £1 cash out fee to cover Mangopay payment processing.

MangoPay and Admin Fees

Mangopay charge Storcx 1.9% + 20p + VAT on all transactions in, and 45p +VAT on cash out.

Our 2.5% + 20p (inc VAT) processing fee on all card payments in and 50p +VAT on withdrawal is purely to cover this charge and all the extra little bits going on behind the scenes!

How do I verify my MangoPay Account?

For security reasons your Mangopay account needs to be verified in order for you to collect your funds.  You simply need to upload a photo of your driving license or passport in you ‘MY PROFILE’ section of Storcx, and  add your UK or EU bank account to the ‘WITHDRAW FUNDS’ icon.

How long does it take to receive funds?

You must allow up to 24-48 hours for the funds to be available in your bank account.

Are contributions automatically sent to my Bank account?

To receive funds you must go to the WITHDRAW FUNDS tab.  You simply add your bank account (please note this must be UK or EU registered and matching your ID) verify it and then choose which event you are withdrawing funds from.

Can I use Storcx anywhere in the world?

At this time only a UK or EU bank account can be used to withdraw funds into.

What currencies can I use?

You can contribute towards a Storcx event page in any currency.  You can only collect finds into a UK or EU bank account.

Privacy & Security

Do you need a Facebook account to use Storcx?

No you don’t! You can invite your friends to chip in towards your group gift by email.

What if I made a mistake with my payment?

If you have made a mistake with your payment please contact Storcx straight away at info@storcx.com so we can try and organize a refund. As the funds are not held by us and it is an agreement with the host, with any bank transfer It is up to the discretion of the host (receiver of funds) to learn of the payment error and agree the refund.

Are payments to Storcx secure?

Absolutely! We use Mangopay as our secure payment provider to ensure your transactions are always made safely and securely. We don’t store any of your bank details and each payment is verified to protect our users.

Are Storcx Pages private?

All activity on Storcx is private and can not be accessed publicly unless you have invited someone to view it.
